My Balkans-your Balkans set conceived for the Projected Visions: Balkans program featured works that draw upon what is identified with Balkan countries' past in order to formulate painful discoveries about contemporary political and social reality.

Serving the System program conceived for the Projected Visions: Baltic consisted of selected video works by four artists and a group of artists, all from the younger generation and connected to the geopolitical area that could be defined as the Baltic Sea Region or northern part of the former Eastern Block. The keyword that linked the videos of Serving the System is labor, both in the sense of hard physical or intellectual work and as a social class or political force. An exhibition realized within the program of Baltic/Balkans project. Regardless of the differing aspects of their regional debates, the both regions share the experience of peripherality as a result of being located “east of the West and west of the East.” Following the Second World War, this dichotomous picture of Europe, with a dividing line running between the Baltic and the Balkans, acquired a new stigma – the experience of communism and stormy transition processes, which affected the majority of the Balkan and East Baltic Nations.
